Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AutoCorrect PC desktop application (the "App") and related services provided by AutoCorrect PC ("AutoCorrect PC," "AutoCorrect for PC," "we," "us," or "our") through autocorrectforpc.com and associated APIs.

These Terms apply to the App only. If you use our public website, your use of the Website is governed by our separate Website Terms of Service.

By installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

AutoCorrect PC is currently offered as a beta product. This means:

• Features may be incomplete, change without notice, or be removed
• The App may contain bugs or experience downtime
• Usage limits (such as word count limits) may apply
• We may disable specific beta builds remotely via a kill-switch mechanism
• We may ask for feedback to improve the product

Your participation in the beta is voluntary. We may modify or end the beta program at any time.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

If you use the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

To use certain features, you must create a beta account by providing accurate information (such as your name and email address) and verifying your email.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and current registration information
• Keep your account credentials secure
• Notify us promptly at support@autocorrectforpc.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on compatible Windows devices for your personal or internal business use.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the App except as permitted by law
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except where prohibited restrictions are unenforceable under applicable law
• Rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or distribute the App
• Use the App to violate any law or third-party rights
• Interfere with or disrupt the App, our servers, or networks connected to the App
• Circumvent usage limits, authentication, kill-switch controls, or other technical restrictions
• Use the App to generate, store, or transmit unlawful, harmful, abusive, or infringing content
• Use automated means to access the service except as expressly permitted

All rights not expressly granted are reserved by AutoCorrect PC and its licensors.

The App provides system-wide typing assistance, including but not limited to:

• Autocorrect and spell checking
• Word completion and next-word prediction
• Grammar suggestions
• A floating overlay interface
• Speech-to-text (local transcription)
• AI-assisted writing (cloud-connected)
• A swipe keyboard and related productivity tools

Most typing assistance features operate locally on your device using a keyboard hook and on-device dictionaries and models. We do not guarantee that all applications on your system will be compatible with every feature.

Certain features—including AI Writer, account management, and feedback submission—require an internet connection and communication with our servers or third-party infrastructure. Availability of these features is not guaranteed.

Speech-to-text is processed by a local sidecar component on your device. Audio is not sent to our servers for transcription unless we explicitly state otherwise in an updated version of the App or documentation.

When you use AI Writer, you submit prompts (and optionally selected text) to our backend API. AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. You are solely responsible for reviewing and using AI output before inserting it into any document, message, or system.

Do not submit sensitive, confidential, or personal information that you are not permitted to share unless you accept the associated risk.

During the beta, we may impose usage limits (such as a maximum word count for AI or cloud features). Limits may be displayed in the App and enforced on our servers. Attempting to bypass these limits is a violation of these Terms.

If you submit feedback, bug reports, feature suggestions, or attachments (including screenshots), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display that feedback for the purpose of operating, improving, and developing the App and related services, without obligation to compensate you.

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect and use information. By using the App, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

The App integrates with or relies on third-party services, including but not limited to:

• Sentry — error monitoring
• Hosting and API providers — backend services and feedback endpoints

Your use of those services may be subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.

The App also interacts with third-party applications on your computer. We are not responsible for those applications or any data you enter into them.

The App requires elevated system integration on Windows, including a low-level keyboard hook, optional microphone access, and the ability to insert text into foreground applications.

You acknowledge that:

• You should review App settings and disable features you do not want to use
• Typing assistance may not be appropriate in all contexts (such as password fields, secure terminals, or specialized software)
• You are responsible for verifying corrections, predictions, grammar fixes, transcriptions, and AI-generated text before relying on them
• Running the App with administrator/elevated privileges may reduce its ability to interact with non-elevated applications; the App may relaunch at normal privilege levels

Use the App at your own discretion and risk.

The App, including its software, design, branding, documentation, and underlying technology, is owned by AutoCorrect PC and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

Open-source components included in the App remain subject to their respective licenses.

"AutoCorrect PC," "AutoCorrect for PC," and related logos are trademarks of AutoCorrect PC. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.

THE APP AND ALL RELATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Corrections, predictions, grammar suggestions, transcriptions, or AI output will be accurate or suitable for your purpose
• The App will work with all applications or system configurations
• Defects will be corrected within any particular timeframe

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

• AUTO CORRECT PC AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

• OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE APP OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AutoCorrect PC and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any law or third-party rights
• Content you submit, generate, or insert using the App

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App or beta program at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, pose a security risk, or if we discontinue the beta or service.

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it and, if desired, requesting account deletion by contacting support@autocorrectforpc.com.

Upon termination:

• Your license to use the App ends immediately
• Provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive

We may update the App automatically or require you to install updates. We may also modify these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and may provide additional notice through the App or by email.

Continued use of the App after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the App.

You agree to comply with all applicable export control, sanctions, and trade laws. You may not use or export the App in violation of those laws.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where AutoCorrect PC operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in that jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires a different forum.

If you are a consumer in the EEA or UK, you may also have the right to bring claims in the courts of your country of residence and to use alternative dispute resolution mechanisms available under local law.

• Entire agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and AutoCorrect PC regarding the App.
• Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• No waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision.
• Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
